Google Sky: A jolly good thing!

Now you can use the Google Earth system to take you to any place on this planet and ask to look up, at the sky! You'll need to have the Google Earth application installed on your computer in order to try this add-on feature.

I love this part of the BBC News piece announcing the Google tool....

Dr John Mason of the British Astronomical Association, Britain's largest body for amateur astronomers said: "Light pollution and air pollution is now so bad in many areas that all you can see when you look up is a few dozen stars.

"If this helps people to realise just what they are missing, it is a jolly good thing."
