Are you scared yet? The Horror Film Club invites you to join us Wednesday, March 1st at 6:30pm in the Dover Room for our next creepy classic from the Vault... if you dare!

In our next film, a beautiful young woman attempts to bring reform to the notorious Bedlam Asylum. However, her efforts attract the attention of the cruel Master Simms, who runs Bedlam, and who has her admitted as a patient in order to silence her. Starring Boris Karloff and Anna Lee.

Join the Friends of WPPL on Sunday, March 19th at 2:00pm in the Porter Room for a very special Sunday Sounds Family Performance!

The Distinguished Gentlemen of Spoken Word are a performance troupe comprised of African-American males ages 12-19 who study the art of performance poetry. These gentlemen take classic poetry pieces, movement poetry (mime/breaking/flexing) and combine it with the art of spoken word.

Playaway Launchpad Tablets for Kids Are Available Now!

On January 9th, WPPL began lending Playaway Launchpads: touchscreen tablets designed for young children that come pre-loaded with fun apps.

The Launchpads will be available to check out for 7 days with no renewals, one per library card. You can find them in the Children’s AV area.

Introducing Roku Kits!

Roku kit

WPPL has begun lending Roku Kits. Each kit contains a small device that plugs in to your television's HDMI port and connects to your WiFi network. Once connected, you can stream any of the movies linked to that device.

Stop by the Ask Us desk to check out a Roku Kit or to find out which movies are available. The kits are available for a 7-day loan with no renewals, one per library card.
