Part II of Our Series on Energy Healing with Linda Street

EnergyTherapyBlog.jpg

Heads Up! Save the Date...You spoke, I listened. Welcome back Edge readers.

After our program last October on Reike with Linda Street, I collected the evaluation sheets you filled out and so many of you wanted more information on energy healing, that I've asked Linda back for a second presentation in which she can go into more depth. In response to a couple of you who requested something specifically on Chakra Cleansing, she will be devoting part of the program to that topic.

We look forward to seeing you there, May 1, 2013-7:00 to 8:30 pm. We'll open the doors at 6:30, so you can arrive a little early to meet and greet each other and get settled. We'll have refreshments and literature for you to pick up.

Registration is required for this program; ask at any public service desk, use our online event calendar, or call 440-250-5460.

That's all for now...I'll be back later with more info.

Until then, remember to Keep Your Eye on The Edge.

Magneto to marry Professor X!

Congrats you two!

McKellan discussed the plan while appearing on the British TV show “The Jonathan Ross Program” over the weekend. “I'm going to marry Patrick," the actor said at first, then added, "I am going to officiate at his wedding.”

50 years of Dr. Who!

Doctor Who first aired on BBC1, November 23, 1963. Yes, for those of you who just did the math, that means this year marks Dr. Who's 50th anniversary. Sure, he went away for awhile, but since his return to the BBC in 2005, he seems to be more popular than ever. So you can be sure the people behind Dr. Who are not going to let this momentous occasion go unnoticed.

Rosin up your bow for Lindsey Stirling!

I ordered a CD by Lindsey Stirling, not really knowing who she was, but had heard about her.

Weeding

Yes, this really is a blog about mystery fiction and not about gardening.  Weeding is what I have been working on since the beginning of the year and it involves a thorough reivew and evaluation of all the books in WPPL's mystery collection.  All of us who select books for the library must weed our sections each year and it is not an easy task.  It is difficult to discard a book for any reason - ask anyone who has boxes of textbooks in their attic.

FOMO

I have to tell you, I suffer from FOMO. Yes, I know, but thank goodness it’s not contagious.

The Sports Section - Road Trip

What would you do with super-intelligence?

In Wired by Douglas E. Richards, Kira Miller is a brilliant genetic engineer who discovers how to temporarily enhance brain functioning a thousand-fold. An unfortunate side-effect happens to be ruthless megalomania and a complete disregard for human emotions.

Evil and the Archetype of Evil: Lucifer, Satan, the Devil...Reading for long cold winter nights...

Now that the holidays are behind us and we’re staring down a long cold road, I thought I’d begin making some suggestions for reading on long wintry nights.

Initial installment: some books dealing with the existence of Evil in the world.
