In my last post, I mentioned that Linda Street’s new book is a “channeled text”. What does that mean?
Greetings Edge Readers:
I’m back again, as promised, with more information on our speaker for this Thursday’s program,
The Rays of Light—Linda Street.
Linda’s educational background includes a BA in Psychology and a MA in Public Administration. She has years of work experience in both the Mental Health field and in Human Resources and currently runs her own business, Healing From Your Heart, right here in Westlake, where she practices in-person and distance energy healing.
She’s a Third Degree Reiki Master and certified in numerous other energy therapies, including IET (Integrated Energy Therapy), Diamond Light Therapy, and ARCH (Ancient Rainbow Conscious Healing). She is a member of the Cleveland Chapter of the International Coach Federation.
The Rays of Light is a healing therapy channeled from higher consciousness through Linda, which she, alone, practices and which is the subject of her new book of the same name. This is the therapy Linda will be discussing on Thursday, along with the process by which it was written.
Linda is a frequent speaker at venues around Ohio and in near-by states. In fact, this will be her third appearance here. In 2012, she presented a program entitled, Healing From Your Heart, and in 2013, she presented Energy Therapy and Chakra Cleansing. Check out her website at www.healingfromyourheart.com for details of her future engagements and for information about her services.

Greetings EDGE readers:
Some of you have been asking about the speakers for our October 30 program. The group is called ORBS—Ohio Researchers of Banded Spirits. The crew, 8 in all, investigate reported cases of haunting utilizing psychics and sophisticated equipment and drawing on the skills and knowledge of a number of talented investigators and religious people. They're home base is right here in Ohio, but their investigations take them throughout the country.
Members of the crew pictured here, left to right are Chris Page, founder; Amy Cobb, co-founder; and Karlo Kuzic, project manager.
The group has been together since 2007 investigating paranormal phenomena in both public buildings and private homes. Their media projects include the all-talk paranormal radio show, Forgotten Voices, and episodes of the Animal Planet series, The Haunted; the Biography Channel series, My Ghost Story and the History Channel 2 series, Haunted History.
If you really want to know what they're about check out their website at www.bandedspirits.com. You can spend hours exploring here, there's so much information.
Be sure to register to attend the October 30 program. Ask at any public service desk, call 440-250-5460 or click HERE to sign-up online.
Greetings EDGE readers!
Here's the scoop on our October 30 program.
We will be having ORBS (Ohio Researchers of Banded Spirits) here for a two hour program beginning at 6:30 pm. These are REAL GHOST HUNTERS who have been featured on the Animal Planet series, "The Haunted" and the Biography channel series, "My Ghost Story" , and on the History channel. They've investigated well over 300 cases of reported hauntings to date, including many that involve Ohio landmarks.
They'll be here sharing their findings and teaching us all how to conduct our own investigations. Don't miss this major program; it's a great way to get in the Halloween spirit.

ORBS...Ohio Researchers of Banded Spirits.....(Ghost Hunters)! will present Ohio Haunts. Registration begins October 1, 2013. I'm off to lunch but will have more on this later.....So, keep your eye on the Edge...
You won't want to miss this.
Greetings EDGE Readers!
Thanks to all of you who attended our UFO program Wednesday night; we had a great group. Thanks, especially, to those of you who shared your personal experiences. If you didn't have a chance to do it after the program, you can submit your personal experience in written form on both the MUFON and the Cleveland Ufology Project websites. I spoke to Tom after the program and he suggests submitting it to the MUFON website, which will get it into the national database and the Cleveland Ufology Project will also have access to it.
I still have a few of the bibliographies, I put together, in the plastic holders on the end cap near the 100s dewey area. If you don't know where that is, ask at one of the public service desks and a staff member will show you.
Click here to accessTom's bibliography on the Cleveland Ufology website.
If you didn't turn in your evaluation sheet, I'm still interested in your input. If you took the form home with you, fill it out and turn it in the next time you're in the library. If you didn't take a copy with you you can email me at Ilona.Miklos@westlakelibrary.org with anything you would like to say about the program: what you liked about it, how it could be improved...
We're also interested in your suggestions for future programming on any topic. I promise to get them to the right people.
In addition, if you're interested in being notified of future programs by email, you can submit your email address to be added to our list.
Our speaker for this Wednesday's UFO program (7-8:30 in the Porter Room) has told me that he intends to focus in particular on three unexplained Ohio UFO cases:
A historical account of UFO sitings in Trumbull County involving 911 calls and communications between law enforcement officers. The original tapes of these conversations are mysteriously missing and it took two years for the backups to turn up.
An event involving a Crop Circle in Chilicothe, Ohio at the Hopewell Indian Mounds. This one is from last September.
And a third focus case will involve UFO sitings in the area of the old Nike missile base in Cleveland.
Don't forget to bring your own experience, you will have a chance to talk with Tom and the group about it and you can also turn it in to them in written form to be added to their database.
Register if you haven't already, in person at any public service desk, by calling 440-250-5460, or online by clicking HERE.
Check out the display of books on UFOs, Alien Life, Time Travel, etc. at the front of the library--and I'll see you there.
EDGE readers--want to JOIN MUFON or the Cleveland Ufology Project? A number of people have asked about this since our program last year.
Here's the scoop--you CAN join the Cleveland Ufology Project; MUFON doesn't have members, but you can SUBSCRIBE to their newsletter.
Cost to join the Cleveland Ufology Project is $25, which helps to cover the cost of renting the room they meet in. Meetings are at 7:30 pm on the 3rd Saturday of every month at Tri-Cs western campus. Tom will be bringing flyers about this to our program on July 31. You can also go to the organization's website at http://www.clevelandufo.com.
To subscribe to the MUFON of Ohio newsletter, go to http://www.mufonohio.com/mufono/index.html. We can ask Tom about this too during or after the program on 7/31.
Reminder Edge readers--Registration is Required for our July 31 Program on UFO Activity in Ohio. Sign-up in person at any public service desk, call 440-250-5460, or click HERE to register online via our Event Calendar.
I've been in communication with our speaker and he's anxious to learn of your personal experiences with UFOs: sitings, communications, abductions.... We're going to allot a full half hour for audience questions and comments. So those of you who are not shy, come prepared to participate.
And everyone, if you've had an experience you'd like to share, write it up and turn it in after the program to Tom or to me, or just leave it on the table with your evaluation and I'll be sure it gets to him. The Cleveland Ufology Project is building a database of personal accounts.
