Two iconic authors take on "Earth"
Orson Scott card, best known for Ender's Game has published a new book entitled, "Earth Unaware". This book is a "prequel" of sorts to that classic tome that covers the time directly before the Formics (Buggers) arrived in our solar system.

A mining ship is far out from Earth, beyond Pluto. Their systems are old and failing. The ship's telescopes pick up a fast-moving object coming in-system. Terry Pratchett, best known for his Discworld series brings us "The Long Earth". Imagine a multi-verse, that is, an infinate number of multiple Earths that diverge from Earth norm the farther out you travel. And imagine that it is quite easy to move between these multiple Earths, using a device powered by a potato. Would you leave your earth? How far would you go? Would you, or could you come back?
