Clothes at Kohl's

Now's the time to shop at Kohl's! Beginning today and running through Sunday, May 15, you can earn Kohl's cash for every $50 you spend. And, if you have a Kohl's credit card, you should have received in the mail a Kohl's catalog with a peel-to-reveal coupon on the front for either 15, 20, or 30 percent off your entire purchase, which you can use beginning today through Wednesday, May 18. If you don't have a Kohl's credit card, just ask the sales associate at the register at which you check out to give you a scratch-off card which will also entitle you to a 15, 20, or 30 percent savings. For additional savings, you can use any Kohl's cash you have received previously.

A variety of kids' clothing items, including short-sleeved shirts, shorts, and dresses, are now on the clearance racks, so be sure to check out what's available as any of these items would make a great donation. As an example, I bought a few toddler girls' summer tops, originally priced at $13 each and marked down 80 percent to $2.60. Using my coupon for 30 percent off, I paid $1.82 for each, which brought the total savings to 86 percent off. Even if you can use a coupon for 15 percent off, you can still purchase a top for $2.21, a savings of 83 percent.

At the mission to which I donate items, kids' clothing is always in demand, as I'm sure is the case at most outreach centers. Next time you're at Kohl's, check out the clearanced clothing and see what you can find. Even one item donated can make a difference.
