Sunday Sounds: Vibrant Wind Dancers

Sunday Sounds Vibrant Wind Dancers

Join the Friends of Westlake Porter Public Library for the return of Sunday Sounds and bond with "Earthen Elements" with the Vibrant Wind Dancers!

Sunday, January 22
2:00-3:00 pm
in the Porter Room

The performance of poetry, music and dance depicts Middle Eastern style and interpretive dance and incorporates long flowing skirts and a variety of decorative (and sound making!) hip scarves in the costuming. They also work with beautiful hand dyed nine foot silk veils in all of the dances, making it unique, as well as serene and beautiful!

Refreshments will be served following the performance.

The Vibrant Wind Dancers have performed in over 75 plus shows for live audiences. Music and songs included in "Earthen Elements" are Fairy Dance, Nebtidi Mnain, Marco Polo, Why Wait, Gypsy Rhapsody, and The Garden, featuring traditional Middle Eastern music, beautiful South American, Celtic & classical music. Renowned poets featured include: Dorothy Wordsworth, Christopher Marlowe, Lord Byron, Willa Cather, Angela Weld Grinke and Charles Duke.
