Presenters from a local Toastmasters club will use the "Speechcraft" program to help you to improve your ability to give presentations for professional and personal purposes.
A program designed by Toastmasters International and presented by members of local Toastmasters clubs.
Since 1924, Toastmasters has been synonymous with excellence in public speaking. The Speechcraft program was designed to introduce a novice speaker to the Toastmasters approach to public speaking. It was created to help people turn their speaking skills into a craft - to help them improve their professional and personal communication skills using a condensed version of the Toastmasters member experience.
Do you need to answer questions in an upcoming job interview? Give a presentation at work? Make a toast at your sister's wedding? You can get through these (and so many more speaking scenarios) with average success-or you can be recognized as a polished presenter! In this six-week program, participants, who are called Speechcrafters, have the opportunity to boost their confidence as they improve their public speaking skills, within the safe, supportive environment of a Toastmasters club.
Included in the training is: how to organize a speech; using body language; using vocal variety; choosing clear, concise words; introducing and evaluating another speaker; and impromptu speaking. After completing the course, participants may be inspired to continue their Toastmasters journey by visiting or joining a local club.
