Westlake Porter Public Library offers a collection of works from local Northeastern Ohio authors, musicians, directors, and filmmakers. This collection is designed to give new and emerging creators, especially those whose materials are not yet widely reviewed or stocked by libraries and bookstores, an opportunity to be shared with friends and neighbors.
Talented musicians of all ages and genres call Westlake home. From headliners to budding stars, we shine the spotlight on them here.
Are you a local composer or songwriter of original music interested in being featured? Are you connected in some way with a local musician—a neighbor, friend, or relative? Connect with the community by sharing music through the library and reach new audiences through the library that you don't see in the venues where you typically play.
The music scene that we have in the Westlake area is rich and vibrant. We hope to fill a variety of genres in the collection and help local artists grow their fan base.
The library will accept submissions of local music from any genre. The artist, music, or production must have either a past or present tie to the Westlake area.
The music must be in CD form and should be mostly original.
