Sign up for free U.S. Citizenship classes at the library, January 6 through March 28 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30-7:30 p.m., and learn about history, government, geography, your rights and responsibilities as a United States citizen, and more. Offered through The Hope Center.
The library is undergoing a series of improvement projects including creating a dedicated Young Adult area in Youth Services, reorganization of Circulation, and opening of the second floor to the public. In addition, self-service coffee and other vending options will be available this winter.

The Westlake Porter Public Library offers test proctoring free of charge during the hours the library is open. Computers are available for online-based tests and individual study rooms are available for paper tests.
Contact Adult Services with your name, contact information, and desired testing date and time. Scheduling is based upon staff availability. Please allow enough time for correspondence with your institution to receive testing materials and instructions.
