Winter Reading Challenge is back for all ages! Track each day that you read or listen to a book from January 2–February 14 to earn ticket entries for the grand prize. Register on Beanstack or pick up a paper reading log at the Ask Us or Youth Services desks.
Join WPPL's new Environmentalism Book Club on Wednesday, January 8 at 7 p.m. to engage in thoughtful conversation based on readings about our environment, our changing planet and sustainability. Our first selection is Kiss the Ground by Josh Tickell about the hidden power of soil.
Attend LIVE talks from best-selling authors and thought leaders in the comfort of your own home with Virtual Author Talks from the Library Speakers Consortium and Westlake Porter Public Library. New authors are added every month and past talks are archived for access at your convenience.
WPPL is proud to offer the Myrna Chelko Literacy Initiatives—Little Sprouts for children ages 4 and under and Reading Is Elementary for kids in grades K-4. Participating in these initiatives will help build the habits that foster lifelong learning—plus there are fabulous prizes!
