The Westlake Porter Public Library Makerspace is a creative recording, design and fabrication space that allows library patrons the opportunity to access a variety of professional and innovative tools and software.
Record and produce professional grade audio and music tracks. Select musical instruments will be available including a guitar, bass guitar, synthesizer keyboard, and electronic drum set. Upgrade your recording to include streaming-style video with the available webcam and lighting options.
Learn how to operate a 3D printer to produce your own 3D designs or learn how to locate free-to-print designs from the internet. Maximum print dimensions are 7.87 in3 (200mm3).
Use a Cricut Maker to cut or emboss a wide variety of materials.

Create custom buttons from graphics, photos, or drawings. Great for displaying your personal style, family get-togethers, fundraisers, and other events.
Sew fabric projects or complete basic mends with our heavy-duty sewing machine. Add decoration, identification and interest to fabric items with our computerized embroidery machine.
Use our computer-controlled router to carve and engrave a variety of materials including wood, plastic, foam, rubber, and more. Maximum material dimensions are 29in x 29in x 2in (750mm x 750mm x 50mm)
