Makerspace

The Westlake Porter Public Library Makerspace is a creative recording, design and fabrication space that allows library patrons the opportunity to access a variety of professional and innovative tools and software.

Makerspace Hours

Sunday: 1 p.m.–4 p.m.
Monday: 1 p.m.–5 p.m.
Tuesday – Wednesday: 1:30 p.m.–8 p.m.
Thursday – Saturday: 10 a.m.–5 p.m.

Recording Sound Booth

Inside the recording booth

Record and produce professional grade audio and music tracks. Select musical instruments will be available including a guitar, bass guitar, synthesizer keyboard, and electronic drum set. Upgrade your recording to include streaming-style video with the available webcam and lighting options.

3D Printing

Desktop computer in the Makerspace

Use industry-standard software packages like Adobe Creative Suite, CorelDraw Graphics Suite, DaVinci Resolve, or Bandlab Cakewalk. Other popular software packages like Audacity, TinkerCad, Inkscape and more will also be available.

Sewing and Embroidery
