SearchOhio, OhioLINK and Interlibrary Loan
Sometimes materials are not available from Westlake Porter Public Library and in these cases, we can often borrow the items from another library through interlibrary loan. The easiest way to find an item in another system is to continue your search in SearchOhio from our catalog.
SearchOhio and OhioLINK
SearchOhio makes over 18 million items available to the communities served by library systems around Ohio. OhioLINK contributes millions more items, available in the same online catalog. The SearchOhio Catalog allows direct, online requesting for residents of Ohio and delivery of books and other library media within a matter of days.
- Loan period is generally 21 days for printed items, audiobooks, and music and seven days for movies. Some exclusions apply. Loan periods are set by the library that owns the material.
- Items may be eligible for up to three renewals. Items can be renewed online or by calling 440-871-2600.
- A replacement fee will be billed for any item that is more than three weeks overdue. The fee is $25 for SearchOhio items and $125 for OhioLINK items.
- SearchOhio and OhioLINK items count toward your overall checkout limit, which for most patrons is 75. Only 25 OhioLINK items can be checked out at the same time.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
Materials that can’t be borrowed through SearchOhio or OhioLINK may still be requested through Interlibrary Loan.
Contact Adult Services to request books and other material through WorldShare. Reasonable attempts are made to borrow materials in this way but not all requests are able to be filled.
