Join Cat, the writer behind WPPL's Nostalgic Showcase Presents blogs, for an informative presentation on mid-century horror movies in America & the impact they have on our pop culture. Grades 9-Adult
Welcome to Nostalgic Showcase Presents Live, a live presentation and showcase based on Cat's article series, which covers defunct and forgotten studios, publishers, and content from our childhoods, available to read on WPPL's blogsite. One of the most iconic B-movie horror classics, The Invasion of the Body Snatchers, premiered 70 years ago in 1956! In this presentation, we'll highlight the best mid-century horror B-movies like It Came from Outer Space (1955), The Blob (1955), and the forgotten The Little Shop of Horrors (1960), and the impact these films had on the entertainment industry and pop culture.
