MakerspaceCome to the Soundbooth in the Makerspace to record a brief memory of your experiences as WPPL remembers the 25th anniversary of the September 11th attacks in New York, Washington, and PA.
Friday, September 11, 2026 marks the 25th Anniversary of the terrorist attacks in New York city, Washington D.C., and rural Pennsylvania. To mark this anniversary Westlake Porter Public library is asking patrons to visit the Soundbooth on September 11, located in the Makerspace, to record a two to three minute memory of that day. We will have some prompts available to help get you started or you can talk about what you would like. Local History librarian Chad Statler will be available to help you make the recording. Recordings will be assembled and featured into a blog post which will be published later. The Makerspace is open on Fridays between 10 AM and 5 PM. We are asking that patrons call the Makerspace at 440-871-2600 opt. 2 to make a reservation for that day.
