Join us as baseball historian Scott Longert talks about the career, short life, and tragic death of Indians short stop Ray Chapman.
Ray Chapman reached the pinnacle of baseball success as a short stop for the Cleveland Indians. In the 1920 Pennant race in a game against the New York Yankees a pitch thrown by Carl Mays hit Chapman, fracturing his skull. The next day he succumbed to his injuries.
Baseball historian Scott Longert tells us about the short life of Chapman and why he is remembered by baseball fans in Cleveland a century after his death.
