Adults and children in grades 3-5 learn basic sewing skills together then work collaboratively to create a single sewn project after listening to a short story connecting these skills to literature.
This program is for an adult with a child currently enrolled in 3rd through 5th grade.
Please register each child individually. One adult may accompany up to three children.
Grades 3-5 and adults.
Hand sewing helps kids develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, self-confidence, patience, and focus – skills used in reading and writing. Participants who arrive more than 10 minutes after we start will not be admitted into the program.
