After the workshop, Adolphe Musanga will talk about his self-published memoir, From Congo to Cleveland, which recounts his journey of self-empowerment from a life of poverty and hardship in Congo-Kinchasa to the challenges of being a newly-arrived immigrant in the American Midwest.
Marsha McGregor is widely published in memoir and narrative nonfiction writing. Her work has appeared in publications that include the Kenyon Review Online; Fourth Genre; Zone 3; The Philadelphia Inquirer; Brain, Child Magazine; Literary Mama and three anthologies. She has been a regular contributor of personal essays in the VOICE column of Cleveland Magazine since 2008. She teaches writing workshops for small groups, library systems and writers organizations, including Literary Cleveland and the International Women’s Writing Guild.
