Fox 8 in the Morning lead anchor Wayne Dawson comes to the Porter Library to discuss his memoir "The Seeds of Greatness Are Within You."
Inspired by his mother, Wayne Dawson overcame the crime ridden neighborhoods of his youth and years of juvenile delinquency to become one of the most successful and beloved broadcasters in Northeast Ohio television history. He is an 11-time Emmy® winner and a member of both the Broadcaster's Hall of Fame and the Cleveland Press Club.
Dawson is a Kent State University alumni. Currently the lead anchor on Fox 8 in the Morning, he has been a fixture at the television station for 42 years. He is a public speaker, community activist, and philanthropist. Along with his brother, Judge William Dawson, he founded the Dawson Foundation. Since 2018 he has served as a pastor at Grace Tabernacle Baptist Church in Lyndhurst, Ohio.
