Join us to celebrate Free Comic Book Day and Star Wars Day! We will be giving out free comic books at the lobby all day while supplies last.
Westlake Porter Public Library is celebrating Free Comic Book Day and Star Wars Day with a host of activities and giveaways!
- 9 a.m.: We will be giving out free comic books (three per person) at the lobby all day while supplies last.

10 a.m. - 2 p.m.:
- Make Your Own Comic: learn how to make your own comic from our Youth Services staff. Stop by for a drop-in session. All ages are welcome.
- Visit the Makerspace to learn how to create your own super stickers.
- 1-3 p.m.: Meet a member of the Ohio Star Wars Costume Legions and take a selfie.

All day: Superhero and cartoon character figures created by Westlake resident, Mel Maurer, will be on display at the lobby. New addition this year — Wonder Woman. Feel free to take selfies!

Sign up to join local comic book creator, Ryan Drost, on April 30 from 7-8 p.m., to learn about "The Art of Comic Book Creation."

Westlake Porter Public Library is an independent public library serving the residents of the city of Westlake, western Cuyahoga County and eastern Lorain County.
