Bring at least one piece of clothing or a soft toy to the library that needs to be repaired and learn basic sewing techniques to extend the life of your favorite clothes and toys! Grades 3-5, Adult.
This program is for an adult with a child currently enrolled in 3rd through 5th grade.
Please register each child individually. One adult may accompany up to three children.
One of the best ways we can care for our planet is to limit the amount of waste that we produce. By mending their own clothes and toys, participants will help keep these items out of the landfill while practicing sewing skills. We will also share a short story or informational text that reinforces this concept. Bring as many items that need to be repaired as you like (but at least one per child). We will mend as many items as time allows.
