AI seems to be everywhere — our phone apps, Google search, social media — whether we like it or not. There are many ethical concerns when it comes to AI, but one that has received a lot of attention is the environmental impact of AI and its data centers. In this presentation, we'll talk about what we know when it comes to environmental impacts of AI, what still remains unknown, and potential paths to proceed in an AI-saturated world.
This program will be held IN PERSON and ON ZOOM. The presenter will be ON ZOOM, but participants are welcome to attend in the library's Porter Room.
