This cross-generational program connects patients with Parkinson's with our community by sharing stories, songs and movement in this interactive storytime. Ages 2-6, siblings welcome.
In partnership with UH Rehab Exercise Program for Parkinson's Patients and the Star Center Foundation, this program engages children in an interactive storytime while providing an opportunity for patients with Parkinson's to practice strengthening their vocal chords as part of their quality of life training. This storytime will be co-led by library staff, Star Center Foundation staff, and patients from UH sharing stories, songs, and gross motor movement with families encouraging a joy of reading and inspiring confidence in both readers and children.
If you have Parkinson's and are interested in joining as a reader, please contact the library at 440.250.5471 before registering. Families who are interested in supporting this endeavor, please register and let us know how many people total will be attending.
