Knit or crochet a wildflower or pollinator for our Community crocheted/knitted wildflower garden this spring!
The Westlake High School Crochet/Knitting Club and Westlake Porter Public Library invite local yarn enthusiasts to contribute to a community crocheted and knitted wildflower garden to be displayed in WPPL’s lobby this spring.
The garden will be on display from Sunday, April 19 through Mid-May. We are seeking crocheted or knitted wildflowers and pollinators. Although native species are preferred, they are not required. Pieces must visually be yarn, but crafters can use support pieces within their items or accessories like safety eyes.
Drop off your pieces at the WPPL Circulation Desk from March 18-22. We will tag your item and log your information to track ownership.
Need help getting started? Check out these patterns and sites recommended by the WHS Crochet/Knitting Club.
Pick up items during the week of May 24 at the Circulation Desk. Any items not picked up by June 1 will be considered a donation to a local retirement center for others to enjoy.
