Celebrate the once-in-a-lifetime total solar eclipse with us at the Friends' Pavilion. All Ages.
From 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. create a painted rock, add to our wall of eclipse drawings and decorate our sidewalk with chalk art — while supplies last. Walk around the property to learn all about our planets and eclipses.
From 2:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. experience the once in a lifetime event of a total solar eclipse, weather permitting. The partial eclipse begins at 1:59 p.m., totality is at 3:15 p.m. and the eclipse will end at 4:29 p.m.
Building restrooms and areas for quiet breaks will be available. Parking is limited and we recommend carpooling, choosing alternative transportation solutions, or parking at Westlake Elementary School.
In the event of inclement weather a live stream of the total solar eclipse will be available to view from our program rooms.
Eclipse glasses will not be available. Looking directly at the sun during a solar eclipse is unsafe. Please make arrangements to bring your own eye protection and share with your family.
