Learn how to use shorten your own jeans using the sewing machine in the WPPL Makerspace!
In this program, participants will learn how to shorten jeans while keeping the original hem. In addition, participants will learn the basics of using a sewing machine, including loading a bobbin, threading a sewing machine, and adjusting stitch length and tension. Participants should bring their own jeans to use.
This will be a two-part program. On the first day (10/14), participants will see a demonstration of the process of shortening a pair of jeans and begin working on their own jeans. On the second day (10/21), participants may return to complete their pants with staff guidance using Makerspace equipment.
